How to Read Forged Wheel Specs

Size, offset, PCD, center bore, load rating — what each number means and why it decides whether a wheel fits and carries the load.

How to Read Forged Wheel Specs

Every forged wheel order comes down to a short list of numbers. If you can read them, you can spec a wheel, catch a bad quote, and avoid a fitment that becomes a safety issue.

Size: diameter and width

Diameter (15"–30" in our range) is the wheel size the tire mounts on. Width is the second number — for example 19x9.5 means 19-inch diameter, 9.5-inch wide. Width drives tire section width and therefore fender clearance and scrub radius.

Offset (ET)

Offset is the distance from the wheel centerline to the mounting pad, in millimeters. Positive offset tucks the wheel inward; negative offset pushes it outward. Offset changes scrub radius — a wrong offset changes steering feel and can stress the suspension.

Bolt pattern (PCD)

PCD is the diameter of the circle through the centers of the bolt holes, plus the lug count — 5x112, 5x114.3, 5x120, 6x139.7 and so on. A wrong PCD is not a fitment inconvenience; the wheel cannot be safely mounted on the hub.

Center bore (CB) and hub rings

The center bore centers the wheel on the hub. When the wheel bore is larger than the hub, hub-centric rings take up the gap so the wheel is centered by the hub, not by the lug nuts.

Load rating

Every wheel has a rated load it must carry. For trucks and off-road use, load rating matters as much as fitment. Confirm the load target for the vehicle before quoting.

Spec a wheel the same way you would spec a bearing: fitment first, load second, style third.

Send your vehicle or your current wheel data to sales and we confirm feasibility before quoting — size, offset, PCD and center bore are locked before production.
